08.31.12 FWF

It's Friday again, YAY!!
Time for Unity's Friends with Flair!
Check out the details HERE.
Inspiration, prizes...what
more could you ask for?

My card was made for
the current Recycle/Repurpose
Challenge at

I used alcohol inks on some plastic from a little tub of
chocolate-covered raisins.  I stamped this gorgeous
Unity leaf on with StazOn ink and cut it out by hand.
Anyone know which set it is from?
The die cut is from a coffee cuff and
the button was an extra that came
with some shorts I bought awhile back.

I'm off and running, got inspired to paint
my front door from THIS post by Melissa.

Don't forget to comment on every
post till Sept. 8th for a better chance
at my birthday celebration goodies!
See ya' later!

Balance Card/SSIC Die Cut Challenge

This card uses some more of
the design elements that have
been highlighted on the Moxie Fab/
PaperCrafts sites this past week.
I made this card asymmetrical and
also used the concept of having
a line to add balance.

The Stampin' Sisters in Christ
Challenge #154 is to use a punch,
die or shape on a card.

Spellbinders die cut from coffee cuff

the details HERE....lots of fun
and Unity inspiration on the links!

So....I'm pretty much addicted
to making Christmas cards lately.
Got some new supplies!
I just had to cut into my
Simple Stories 25 Days of Christmas
paper pad and spritz it with some
Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls!
(which don't show up at all in the pic)
And got to use a new Itty Bitty:

That is it for me this week,
enjoy the hop and have
a blessed weekend!

Unity Star Challenge

I took my bunting down awhile ago
and thought what a great background the
faded, velvety stars would make.
Works great for the current
Unity Challenge to use stars.

I cut the bunting in my Big Shot
and added some mica pieces
 I had embossed awhile ago.
I white embossed the thank you stamp,
red embossed the stars
(from Twinkle, Twinkle Itty Bitty)
and hand wrote the sentiment
with my white gel pen.

When Veteran's Day rolls around
I am going to send this to my sister and bil
who are both retired from the Reserves.
My sister spent a year in Iraq and
although I've thanked other veterans
I don't think I've ever literally thanked
either of them for their service to the USA.

10 Minute Craft Dash

I've been seeing this new
challenge around lately.
is a blast and you should check it out!!

I can't believe it took me 9
minutes to make this card!
9 MINUTES.
I was all thumbs...
maybe I'll get better with practice...

08.17.12 FWF

I'll be honest, Friday snuck up on me!
And then when I typed my heading I
said outloud, "it's the 17th already"?
I feel the need to make time
slow down....but I don't know how
to make that happen....is it an age thing?
More about that later!

It's Friends With Flair Friday!!
Go HERE to the Unity Blog for all the details.

My first card is one I had made
awhile ago but I needed a baby girl
card for my grand-niece, Kelsey.
I added the Itty Bitty
Delight in the Little Things
baby carriage.
Butterflies from Bevy of Butterflies set

 I'm kinda into making
Christmas cards.  This quilting idea is from
Kristina Werner's blog HERE.
This card is for a Anything Goes
challenge at Crafting By Designs.

08.10.12 FWF & WAW

I tried to post last week
while sitting in an airport.
Both my flights were cancelled so
I thought I would post from my phone.
I think I would have figured it out eventually
but never did get the post finished!

For all the Unity Friends With Flair
details, check out the UNITY BLOG.
I've been working on some Christmas
cards for the monthly challenge
at Crafting By Designs
Since this stamp has a verse from
Luke 2:14 on it, I am also linking this
up to Word Art Wednesday.

Angel stamp is GLORIOUS
Papers are BG Wassail

Love my Unity Christmas stamps!
Thanks for stopping by,
have a blessed weekend!
