I embossed Dusty Concord DI
but it looks almost black.
The edge cut is part of a
Spellbinders Nestabilities
Romantic Rectangles die.

Also want to share a card I
made for the Unity challenge
based on Angie's tutorial from Thursday.

Cut out window with Romantic Rectangles
 and embossed that layer.
Used another Rectangle to emboss
a frame within the frame.

Be Still & Know

Made a card today using the
techniques Angie Blom demonstrated
in THIS tutorial.  Totally worth
watching!!  Never thought of
using a die to only emboss a frame
instead of cutting all the way through.
Can you see it...just around the
sentiment/butterflies?

stamped with Dusty Concord DI.
The chipboard bird is from Scenic Route.
I covered it with Picket Fence Distress Stain

A Personal Goal Achieved!

Back in 2010 I was part
of Patter Cross's group
I opted to make 4 x 6 cards
and put them into a small
photo album. For some reason
I "got stuck" with only 4 pages
to go.  Well, today I finally
finished #25 & #26, the last two!!

WORTH
(paper is b & w)

The sketch is from Chick Challenges #20.
The frame around the verse is from
{ippity}'s Season of Joy

REPRESENT

It feels great to have finished
this complete challenge!!

Odd as it may seem, this album will
reside in the women's bathroom at our church!
We have a counter with some lotion,
decorations, etc. and it will join a
6 x 6 album I did earlier
on the names of God.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ #129

A snowy Sunday afternoon...
time to spend in my studio!
Makes me happy!

The Stampin' Sisters in Christ
challenge for this week is
called Things with Wings so I used
my fav{ippity} set, Sing a New Song.
The ticket is from {ippity}'s Here & Now.

Sponged the bird and ticket
with DIs, Peeled Paint & Tattered Rose.
BG paper is digi collage art by
Lisa's Altered Art printed onto
kraft cardstock.
Go check out her creations,
lots and lots of vintage goodies!

Flashback Friday 21.0

The Flashback Friday Challenge
for this week is to find your
first paper-piecing project.

I had to go back to May 6, 2009.
Isn't it funny how you have those
stamps and forget about them until
you go looking?! You can see the original
post on SCS HERE.

Hopefully my picture-taking skills
have evolved along with the
card-making!! That MS punch
is still functional but I rarely
use eyelets anymore.
Thanks for stopping by!

This second card was intended
for the sketch challenge

The cardfront is embossed with a
new M-Bossabilities folder I
won from Spellbinders.

Tattered Rose & Vintage Photo DIs.
Pearls are Paper Studio.

Have a blessed weekend!!

Moxie Fab Cure for the Winter Blues

to use navy blue on a project.  I
found this old pattern tissue paper
and realized it was printed in blue
so decided to ModPodge it onto
a cardfront.  I stamped some
sewing notions along with
the machine.  Stamps from Unity's
Material Girl set.

You are sew sweet for stopping by!
