Added some tissue tape,

cord and a jewel to dress

the card up a bit.

A month or so ago I

won a bunch of Spellbinders
dies and an M-Bossabilities folder!

They arrived yesterday and I

put them right through
my die-cutter.

I was inspired by this

card by Joann over at

Sassy Raggedy.

The stamp is an itty bitty by Unity Stamp Co.

Dies are Romantic Rectangles & Moroccan Motifs

Unity Heart Challenge

This month the Unity Challenge

is to make a project that uses

hearts, only not red or pink ones!

I've been putting off finishing a

Scripture Challenge I did at

Triple the Scraps in 2010

and tonight I got motivated to

finish two of the four pages I have left.

This 4 x 6 page had to use

a verse that connected with

the word Assurance.  When I

found this verse I figured it was

perfect for this HEART challenge.

 I got the heart in a grab bag

and I don't know to which set it belongs.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ

The challenge at SSIC today

was to create a colorful project

to demonstrate how our lives

can have many types of trials

but God offers many kinds of

grace to help us deal with them.

Here is my colorful 4 x 6 project that

will go into a small photo album

along with 26 other verses:

"For you have been my help, and in

the shadow of Your wings I will

sing for joy."  Psalm 63:7

I have had 4 emails in my inbox

since Nov. 2010 from a 

Scripture Challenge

I was part of at
Triple the Scraps. I really

have wanted to finish the entire

challenge so tonight I got busy

and made two of the 4 I have left.

WAW & SSIC Cards

Time for the cards I

made for this week's

Word Art Wednesday and

Stampin' Sisters In Christ

challenges.

I made two cards using the

same verse which comes

from the WAW challenge #16 HERE.

This verse is such a

great reminder to stop

in all the busyness of life

and recognize that God

is God and He is in control

and I AM NOT!!

I started with a plain kraft card

and swiped it with Picket Fence

Distress Stain, misted it with two color washes

and then went over it with more stain.

I wasn't happy with it so I stamped

the Distressed Dots from

Unity with white ink.

The panel behind the sentiment

is sticky-back canvas that I

had painted, misted, stamped, etc.

awhile ago. (You can see

the post about that HERE.)

The second card is for

the SSIC challenge #127 to use a

flower; a reminder to be a sweet

fragrance of the LORD for

all the world to see.

I used a Spellbinders die cut for

the pink flower (& the flourish & the

sentiment panel..Ornate Artisan set)

and a MS edge punch with flowers. 

I guess both pp have flowers, as well!

Just running a little behind today

but that is a good thing!  DH and I

have been working on the house.

New linoleum, transformed the

laundry room with new vanity,

sink....looks great...but

that isn't why you are here, is it?!

I'll be short and sweet here,

of our oldest dgd!!

Off to do some touch up painting!!

through the middle before
