PTI Day 7 Foils and Neutrals

I'm just beginning to use
foils on my cards after seeing
Jennifer McGuire use some the
other day. I love how it looks so
I was glad to see today's challenge
from PTI which you can find HERE.

*EDITED*
And here is my card that actually
fits the neutral challenge!

I used foil tape for the strips, silver embossed
the banner from Sketched Shapes and then
used StazOn to stamp the sentiment from
Bigger Blooms. Lots of sequins to finish it off.*

I used the foil but missed the part
about using a neutral so after posting
this, I am going back to the drawing
board to make a card that actually fits
the challenge--haha! Unless blue is
considered a neutral!

Here you can see the shine of
the foil and the embossing.

I put VersaMark Ink
gently onto this PTI birthday coverplate die.
I ran it through my Big Shot using a silicone
embossing pad, added Platinum EP from
Ranger and was pleased with the results.

I also added VersaMark around the edges
of the image and dipped it into more EP
before layering it onto the card front.

When its all said and done, I have
a card for my SIL whose bday is
coming up in week or so.

Mix-Ability #41 No Paper Allowed!

Edit:
This card was mentioned
as a Weekly Favorite over
at Splitcoaststampers!!!
Thank you so much!!

What?! A challenge that
says we can't use paper?!
Check it out at SCS HERE.
The only paper allowed is the
card base so I used watercolor
paper to make my card and then
put Golden Molding Paste
through my TCW snowflake stencil.
After it dried, I patted VersaMark ink
onto the snowflakes and heat embossed
them with white ZING! ep.

Next I added Chipped Sapphire,
Evergreen Bough, and Iced Spruce DIs
with my blending tool and then misted it
with Perfect Pearls. Once that was dry I added
the clear jewels to the middle of the
snowflakes and tied the twine.

I dabbed Bottle and Denim alcohol inks
onto some foil  tape and used a Spellbinders
snowflake die to cut the snowflake.
I stamped the Unity sentiment onto
foil tape with StazOn and cut it into the banner.
I scored two lines along the left side of
the banner to give it more of a finished look.
So much bling it was really
difficult to get a good picture of the card!
