May 16 FWF

What a great day!
Sun is shining, wind is NOT
blowing for a change and we hope
to get back out to work on planting
the rest of our soybean acres.
Besides all that is it Unity's FWF day!
Find the details on the Unity
blog HERE.

Here is an art journal layout
I've been working on in honor
of DD1 who is leaving her teaching
job in TX to go work on a horse
ranch in Idaho! The ranch breeds
Gypsy Sport horses...gorgeous animals!
 (Check out this YouTube
if you want to see them!)
They have enormous, flowing manes, tails
and feathers on their legs.  I tried to
imitate that with a white gel pen.

Stamps are from Phyliss Harris'
Easier with You by my Side,
Full Circle Moment & Spring
Inspired LOL sets
grab bag sentiment & date stamp

I used gelatos for the sky,
distress paint for the grass &
cloud stamping.
Stamped on top of sky &
grass with more Distress paint &
gelatos misted with water.
I used a Heidi Swapp stencil
& molding paste to add the hearts.
FC Pitt pens for shading
Image is colored with Copics.
It is all attached & coated with
CH matte multi-medium.

Thanks for stopping by
and have a beautiful weekend!

May 9 FWF

Welcome to another May
FWF Friday post! Love my
Unity stamps! For all the Hop details
check out the Unity blog HERE.

We've had a little rain here and there,
perfect for our newly planted crops.
Perfect for some time to play in
my studio, too! ;)

After DD's wedding, I had this
empty cardboard fabric bolt.
Just couldn't throw it away as
it makes the perfect lightweight
canvas measuring 7" x 31".
(I'll try to post about the process
another time, pressed for time right now.)

Unity stamps are from LOL sets,
Full Circle Moment & Spring Inspired.
On the background:
Distressed Dots, Chicken Wire
& a grab bag star.

I was excited to win a FWF grab bag last
week! I just had to ink up the butterfly
and the jar of hearts for this card for my MIL.
I used the BeINspired Challenge sketch and
the pastel version of the colors.

Colored the butterfly and jar with Copics.
Computer generated sentiment.

Thanks for stopping in and happy
Mother's Day to all you moms!!

Happy May FWF!!

Glad it is May and that the
sun is finally shining after a very
cloudy, wet week.  Welcome
hop with lots of fun Unity gals!

This design of all the colors
up the side is a take off on
Laura Bassen's card HERE.

The butterfly is from a Layers Of
Life set, the other 2 stamps are
from a grab bag.  (The
banners are from a Papertrey Ink set.)
I used lots of DIs & sequins from
Hobby Lobby & Michaels.

The design of my second card is a
case from Jill Foster. She made it
look so easy!! HERE is the original.

background flowers,
Christy Tomlinson Distressed Quilt
and the big flower & leaves are from
2 Layers of Life sets. Distress Inks.

Painted the inside of the flower
with the same ink I used to stamp,
just put some ink on an acrylic
block & misted it with water.

I've been out of my studio too
much, I'm hoping my creativity
is on it's way back to me soon!
Thanks for stopping by &
I hope you have a great
weekend with lots of time
spent outside in the sun!
