09.28.12 FWF

Quick little post, been
helping DH with the corn
and soybean harvest....
going on 3 weeks and not
much time to create.

Check out the Unity blog
for all the wonderful creativity
of Unity addicts!!
This card is for the Ippity/Unity
Fall Challenge.

I modified a Spellbinders die to fit
the area I had, covered the seam with
my faux chevron paper.  (Cut 2 strips of
striped paper perpendicular and
 match stripes together.)
The leaf is stamped on
Sticky-Back Canvas and distressed
with greens and yellows.
Orchard Harvest leaf
and Simple Blessings sentiment.

I originally made this next card for
the KOTM Challenge...yep, did it again...
used a stamp that wasn't from a KOTM!

Bird from Ippity's Sing a New Song

There you go.  Have a
great, fall weekend!!

Anni Card for SSIC

My parents will celebrate their
61st Anniversary on the 27th
so I took some time today to
make this card for them.
I am entering this into the
 Challenge #158 to use something
handmade on your card.

I made my own background paper.
I used VersaMark to first stamp
Vintage Sheet Music and then
the honeycomb pattern I
found on a kitchen hotpad.

I also made the bird image
by stamping on sticky-back canvas
and then distressing it with
Scattered Straw DI.

09.21.12 FWF

Friday's are my favorite!
I love seeing all the inspiration,
Unity is just one big, happy family!
You can check it out for
yourself over at the
Unity blog HERE.

I made this card for the monthly
Unity Challenge which is to use
a banner or pennants.

I found a couple kitchen items lately that work great for card
making.  I bought an oven liner for about $5 to use as a craft sheet.
I had paint on it yesterday and it didn't soak through, so that's cool.
I also spotted this silicone hotpad with a honeycomb pattern at
WalMart the other day.  I put VersaMark on it and pressed
the card onto it. Love how it turned out.

Paper is Simple Stories
Two Unity stamps:
Jesus is the Reason
All Seasons

My second card uses
stuff I've had laying on my
table for awhile.

Crackle Paint on a packaging thing
that looked like a huge button to me.
Scalloped circle cut from coffee cuff.

Have a blessed weekend!!

I used a paint dauber and a
piece of orange bag mesh.

That's it from me this week.

No better promise than that!!

embossed/painted foil.
The chipboard bird was painted
