Final March FWF, Bring on Spring!!

Welcome to Unity's weekly FWF post!

I'm just squeaking in on the end of
the link up time today. Thought I would
make a set of Thank You cards since
I know we'll be needing them after
DD's wedding.

I use Distress Markers on the
Donna Poppies stamp, misted it
with water and stamped onto
Neenah Solar White 80# cs.
I added a few flower sequins
from Michaels and stamped
the sentiment from Simple Blessings.

Check out Unity's blog for all the
hop details and prizes to be won!!

Thanks for stopping by today,
have a blessed weekend!

03/21/14 FWF

Another Friday, another week has
flown by, spring is finally
here and we are 3 weeks
from DD2's wedding! I may be
freaking out just a little! Really
needed today to play in my studio
and play along with Unity's FWF.
Check out their blog HERE for details.

Our church is having a bridal shower
for DD on March 30. They have
asked people to make a scrapbook
page to assemble into a book to give
to DD. Here is the page I've been
working on this week and finished up
just now.  Have to turn it in Sunday.

She was 2 1/2 in the first photo & the
other one is one of their engagement
photos from October. We have prayed
for a godly man for her and God has
certainly answered yes!

Their colors are very similar to the Be Inspired
Challenge for this week.  The shades of
rose with pale blue dresses, gray suits.

 I used LOL sets:
Spring Inspired
Full Circle Moment
Paper Hearts
Itty Bitty: Trust with your Heart
Grab Bag: God's Timing
Generations & T from Frame That Alpha
Scotch and TH washi tapes
Heidi Swapp Stencil w/ Golden molding
paste, heat embossed with ZING! Brown Sugar ep
Splatters are Picket Fence Distress Stain
& pink paint I mixed myself.
Die cuts are Sizzix Scalloped Rectangles
& SB Romantic Rectangles
CHF Ages Sheet Music
Paper hearts from flower girl basket,
see THIS POST for details.
Frames were dry embossed with
TH woodgrain embossing folder.
Pale blue machine stitching.

The "C" stamp DD ordered for their
favor bags. The blessing tag on the
layout was one I made before she decided
on the one in the picture below.

She is bringing Hershey Kisses with
macadamia nuts to put in the bags.
Apparently they only sell them in Hawaii!

Thanks for stopping by.  You may or may
not be hearing from me the next few weeks
but I'll post wedding pics when I can!
Have a great weekend!

on watercolor paper. Colored with Distress
Markers in mowed lawn, evergreen bough,

FWF & Julie's Blogoversary Hop

Welcome to Unity's weekly FWF post.
Check out their blog HERE for those details & prizes.

I am also part of Julie's 2nd Blogoversary Hop.
Love how the card-making community connects
us from all over the world! I cherish the friendships
made because of the shared love of Unity
stamps and creating!

To begin celebrating friendship with Julie
(or if you get lost) go to her blog HERE
she has lots of prizes for commenting along the way!
You should have come from
who just happens to be Unity's GIU gal this week!
Prizes available there, too!

For starters, today I've used every stamp
from the amazing Beautiful every little thing LOL set
on my art journal pages.  Plus the Dream.big butterflies,
a random bird & Bevy of Butterflies' grassy thing.
Distress paint, DI, Hero Arts inks.
Page was gesso'd and beads were added
with Claudine Helmuth Multi-medium.

Pretty cool story about these pages.
I go to a women's devotional
group and my friend who writes the devos
wrote about this verse last week, had no idea
I was using the same one for my journal!
I brought it along to share with my friends there.
Here is a link to our little group called
WELLSPRING.  She posts the devos there.

This card uses papers I won from a SSS
giveaway. I just got this Unity stamp
after their awesome sale!
The ink is Hero Arts Blackboard which
I am grabbing for all the time since I got it.

March 6 was my oldest sister & bil's
39th anniversary. We are great friends &
they just retired 2 miles away from us after
living in Maryland for most of their marriage.
They had a windmill moved to their yard
so thought this paper from an old
almanac was just the touch for them.

I cased this card from KATHY MARTIN.
Just fell in love with it when I saw it Wednesday!

And finally, here is a sneak of one
of the projects for DD2's April wedding.
This adorable little bucket from
OneFunDay is for the flower girls.

DD2 wanted paper hearts instead of
flower petals so I got an old Etude
music magazine from the thrift store
for .25, cut the paper hearts, inked
the edges with Hero Arts Pale Tomato.
Then I stamped them with the love script
from never ending love, LOL set
using Memento London Fog ink.

Next on Julie's hop is Rachel at
