World Record INSPIRATIONAL Unity Blog Hop

Perfect time of year for using Unity Stamp Co.'s Something Within cross stamp. I used the Paper Studio's cardstock, Textured Darks. Paper is Karen Foster Design, Old Green Paint and the "Stand in Awe" is from Crossed Paths. Ink is Stampabilities Walnut, Verse is from Christian Connections by DaySpring, on their Promises & Blessings flip calendar. Brads are MM, Ranger Clear Embossing Powder. Tools are Provocraft's Silent Setter and the Paper Studio's Embossing Heat Tool.

My favorite quote is a message my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter, Ellie, left on my answering machine several months ago. "Hi Poppa, hi Gamma, call me Gamma, I love you, bye-bye." Yes, I've listened to that a few times!!

HHN09-Righteous

Here is my page for the HHN Challenge on God being righteous. We were asked to find verses that talked about God being righteous and also what our response to His righteousness should be in our lives. As I thought about the best way to ask a question about what in my life needs to change, it occured to me that obediance to His laws pretty much covers it all. Not just the 10 Commandments but all the directions Jesus gives us in the New Testament, as well. Whew! I have a ways to go! :) And I don't obey because I HAVE to, I obey because I love God and want to live in a way that pleases Him. (Paper is all Crossed Paths, Stamps are Image Tree and vap! scrap, Provocraft eyelets and my stash yarn, button and newsprint. Verses are Printmaster generated.)

HHN09-Sovereign

Here is my 6 x 6 for the His Holy Name Challenge 2009 on SplitCoastStampers.
Our pastor has been preaching from the book of Daniel in the Bible and the theme is there over and over that no matter what happens, God is in control of the world's events! Our part is to trust in Him no matter what. If He controls all the events of history, He can certainly be trusted with my life! There are so many verses in the Bible that talk about God's sovereignty and how He orders the steps of our lives that it was hard to just pick one or two!

His Holy Name-Holy

I found the HHN challenge a bit late but I hope to catch up so I can have a full set of the pages.
As I share the pages, I want to bring others verses but also want to challenge myself and them with an action in response to the holiness of God. Thanks for the opportunity to combine faith and fun, Patter!

CPS105

Decided to re-post this CPS105 Sketch Challenge so that you don't have to scroll way down to find it. I used two shades of brown cardstock and textured pink cs from the Paper Studio. DP is also the Paper Studio, Meadowsweet Vines. The quote is from Colobok's Vellum Quote Pack, the stamps are Flowers from Stampology Autumn Leaves, the brads are MM. I really enjoy seeing everyone's cards, they are just beautiful!

Heather/Piper's Sketch Challenge

This card is for Heather's Challenge of getting inspired by Piper's sketch. My cardstock is from the Paper Studio's Textured collection and MM mat stack. Piper's stripes made me think of this pp which is My Mind's Eye's Baby Blanket. The stamps are Clear Expressions' sentiment and Flourishes. The flower is cut out of Amy Butler paper and represents Piper's circle.

Shannon's Challenge

Shannon's challenge was to make/use Moo Cards (1" x 2 4/5"). I used card stock I had on hand and the light green from MM mat stack scrapbook basics. I used a Stampin' Up stamp that when divided in half met the size requirements. I embossed them with Ranger clear powder over brown ink and then colored them with Crayola colored pencils. I embossed a stamp from Stampology's Autumn Leaves Flowers and added Clear Expressions sentiment. The ribbon is Offray

Kerry's Circles Only Challenge

Here is my card for Kerry's Circle Challenge. It is pretty simple, I used the Paper Studio paper, cardstock I had on hand, went to Printmaster to design and print out the wording. The rivets are from ProvoCraft, used their Silent Setter. No flowers or ribbons kind of equaled a "guy card" in my mind. This will go to a friend's husband who will be 51 on March 7th.

Lindsey's Challenge

Lindsey's challenge was to use only plain paper. I used the Paper Studio cardstock, Cornish Heritage Farms' Cheesecloth Backgrounder stamp with brown Stampabilities ink. I distressed the edges and used Precious Moments stickers and MM brads. Congratulations stamp is Kolette Hall.

Jackie's Challenge

Here is my card for Jackie's sketch challenge. I used the Paper Studio gray cardstock and all Amy Butler paper. The jewel is Making Memories and the rick rack is old stuff from my husband's gramma's sewing stash...I guess now we call that vintage! The stamp is from StampCraft.

Lee's Challenge

Lee's challenge was to use black, white and pink. The paper is from the Paper Studio, a stripe and Vintage Black Damask, black cardstock. The ribbon is Making Memories Vintage Hip Trims, brads are MM, also. The quote is Colorbok Vellum Quote Pack and I used photo corners to hold it.
