A FLAIR FOR UNITY!

The project I am sharing with you today for Friends with Flair Friday (a treat for us Unity addicts!!) is based on the second to last sketch from Triple the Sketch, TTS75. I wanted to use one of their last sketches since they aren't going to be posting any new ones. You can still access all the past sketches at the Triple the Sketch blog. My 6 x 6 is for the His Holy Name challenge that we are studying over at SCS with Patter. I'm also submitting it for Etsy-Inspired #54. We had to choose something from I Heart Flowers, so I chose THIS....went with brown for the background, included the cross and started out with pearl buttons but they weren't workin' for me so had to improvise!
So....hope you are enjoying the Flair Fun today!! Have a great weekend.
Here are the details. Paper: My Mind's Eye Brown Polka Dot, Daisy D's Secret Garden Solid, the Paper Studio Simply Delightful; Ink: PrintMaster, Stampabilities walnut, Versa Magic cloud white, Ranger clear embossing powder, Martha Stewart granny smith and peony marker; Stamps: Unity Frame this Alpha and August KOM, Autumn Leaves Flourishes; Accessories: ribbon is Offray and Basic Grey, brads are Basic Grey, buttons and cross are from my stash.

Friends With Flair Friday!!

This card is for the Unity Bachelor Bro challenge. You can check it out HERE!! I hurried to get this one done so I could give it to my dh last night. Today we will be hanging out at the fair to celebrate our anniversary...28 years!!! Wow, we don't feel that old!! :) God has blessed us so much. Three great kids and a super-duper dil! And two of the greatest grand daughters in the whole world!!
Most of the stuff I used was just in my stash but I can identify the stamps...Unity, OF COURSE!! (June & July KOM). The ink is ColorBox, the buttons are from WalMart, I think the XOXO is MM, and the eyelets are Eyelet Outlet.

This card is for our neighbors whose daughter passed away from cancer. The sketch is from SCS challenge 246 and the colors are from SCS's CC236 The paper is My Mind's Eye, ink is Stampabilities basil leaf, stamps are Unity July KOM and Inkadinkadoo Flourishes, Inspirational verse sticker, and Basic Grey brads.

This card is for the SPCC #15 color challenge and for my dh for our anniversary! (Added note: made it into the Top 5 Winner's Circle!!)
I used paper from my stash, ColorBox & Memories black ink, Unity July & August KOM, Ranger clear embossing powder (embossed the branch and the sentiment), Adornaments by EK Success fiber, Basic Grey brads, and Stickles.

When I was in AZ a couple weekends ago, I went to the playground down the street with my two granddaughters. GD#1 never stopped long enough for me to snap a decent picture, but this one....she will pose!! :) So Happy 2nd Birthday, sweetie! Wish we could be there to help you celebrate!!
The card is for the Etsy-Inspried challenge #53. We had to go to Pinky's Pet Gear for our inspiration and the Amy Butler fabric got me!!
I used the sketch from MMSC #19 for my layout.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are all enjoying a "Friday with Flair"!! I know I LOVE seeing everyone's creativity.
Here are the details: Paper: Amy Butler & Bazzill Basics guava sensation; Stamps: Unity May & August KOM; Ink: VersaMagic cloud white, Stampabilities basil leaf, ColorBox pink pastel, Martha Stewart markers putty, ladybug, granny smith, Distress Ink antique linen; Accessories: buttons from WalMart, cord from stash, Stickles.

iPod Stand in Amy Butler

I was browsing over at Sarah's blog and saw this cute little project. I was inspired so printed it out on some double sided Amy Butler paper and assembled it. Although I don't have an iPhone, it works just as well for my iPod! If you just can't resist trying it, go HERE for the download (it is in English, too, in case you don't know French!!) from Julien Maderou. Would love to have you link your projects back to me so I can see what you came up with!!

Friends with Flair Friday # 2!

Welcome to Unity's (almost) new FFF showcasing Unity stamps! The list of everyone participating in FFF is HERE at Unity's blog! I am sharing my 6 x 6 page that I made for the His Holy Name challenge this week.
(Scroll down to post 1100 for the "Rock" study.) I used the sketch from a challenge at Christian Paper Crafts for this layout. What a comfort knowing that God is my Rock, my fortress, my salvation. He never changes and is always faithful!!
The stamps are Unity's Frame this Alpha and one from the August KOTM. (You can barely see it on the back of the vellum behind the verse.) All the paper and some of the embellishments are s.e.i. from a kit I bought just to get the 6 x 6 album. The ink is PrintMaster, Momento London Fog, and ColorBox black. I used Stickles and Offray ribbon, and the stencil sheet is from Plaid Enterprises.
Hope you are enjoying your "hop"! Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Birthday Etsy & Challenges from Midnight Madness & Scrapmaster's Paradise!

The Etsy-Inspired Challenge over on it's very own blog just celebrated it's first birthday!! The challenge this week for EIC # 52 was to pick an Etsy shop and pick a piece that inspires. I chose hope ink and this piece that you can see HERE.
My in-laws are celebrating their 51st anniversary on the 10th so this card will go to them!!
This card is also good for a couple more challenges. The colors (blue, grey, and brown) are from SPCC #14, and the sketch is from MMSC #17. If I would happen to win more than one....does that EVER happen?....I will gladly relinquish a prize so as not to be guilty of double or triple dippin'!!
So here are the details: Grey paper is the Paper Studio textured cardstock, the rest is from my stash and unidentifiable! Ink: PrintMaster, Memento London Fog, Prismacolors dark brown and true blue; Stamps: Unity May KOTM house, Stampabilities Happy Anni.; fashion cord is CCA, brads were in a gift, and 3D-DOTS are EK success.

Our Daughter is Visiting Russia

Just thought you might be interested to know that my oldest daughter just went to Russia yesterday. She is volunteering for two weeks with a group called Agape Ministries. She will travel to villages along with a medical doctor. Her job will be to fit people with eye glasses. If you think of her, say some prayers for her and that she will be the love and hands of Jesus to those she comes into contact with! Thanks!!

WELCOME TO UNITY'S FRIENDS WITH FLAIR FRIDAY!!

Welcome to the very first FFF!! That stands for Friends with Flair Friday which is what Unity Stamp Co. is calling the former HHH.
This card is for both CC234 (teal, curry, pink) and SC244 on SCS.
Whew! I just went to sign in for FFF and I think I ended up being number 50! I totally forgot that there was a limit with FFF. I had the hardest time getting a picture of this card that actually shows the true colors.
I am off to AZ tonight to see my kids and granddaughters so I may have to wait til I get home to check in on everyone else's posts. Have a great hop and thanks for stopping by!
A little about this card: my good friend's mom passed away yesterday so I wanted to get a card done for her before I leave. Their son is getting married on Saturday so they are on an emotional roller-coaster. I knew I wanted to use the flowers from the August KOTM because they are so cute and I hadn't had a chance to use them yet. When I checked out the color challenge I went looking and found the butterfly paper from Basic Grey and knew that is what I would use. Shar's mom is a believer in Jesus Christ so now that she is in Heaven, she is a new creation, as the butterfly symbolizes. No more 82 yr. old body, mind wracked with Alzheimer's! I cut out a butterfly from this paper to use on the inside with the verse "what a wonderful God we have--He is the source of every mercy, and the one who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us."
Here are the other details: Paper-the Paper Studio textured cardstock, My Mind's Eye Simply Delightful, Basic Grey urban prairie patchwork quilt; Ink-ColorBox caulk pink pastel; Stamp-Unity August KOTM; Lifeline sticker by Inspirational Memories; sei ribbon, Stickles, heart from my stash.
